Josh grew up surrounded by music as his father, Bruce, is a successful composer himself. Josh has had the opportunity to learn from and work with many industry professionals through his young life. Through the University of Miami's Frost School of Music in the Media Writing and Production program, Josh studied under the direction of Emmy award-winning composer and orchestrator Chris Boardman (Spy Kids, The Wedding Singer, Pocahontas), and film composer Carlos Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit, Godless, A Walk Among The Tombstones). 

He continued his education at Pulse College located at the famous Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin, Ireland, where he was also the recipient of the Christopher Young Scholarship Award. There, he worked with renowned composer Christopher Young (Spiderman 3, Drag Me To Hell), orchestrator Tommy Laurence (How To Train Your Dragon 2, Kung Fu Panda 2), former vice-president of music production at Disney Studios Andy Hill (Lion King, Beauty and the Beast), orchestrator Conrad Pope (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Star Wars) as well as many others from within the film industry. 

Since 2017, Josh has been working for film composer Brian Tyler where he has been heavily involved on projects such as Crazy Rich Asians, Five Feet Apart, Escape Room, Clouds on Disney+, Redeeming Love, and the Paramount Network show Yellowstone as well as it’s prequel Y: 1883. Josh has contributed music arrangements and additional music on the recent films What Men Want, Rambo: Last Blood, Charlie’s Angels (2019), Ready or Not (as well as played all piano on the score), Those Who Wish Me Dead, Justin Lin’s F9, Scream (2022), Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers from director Akiva Schaffer, and The Super Mario Bros Movie. He also co-composed the score to Brian Lazarte and James Lee Hernandez’s The Big Conn on AppleTV+ with Brian Tyler, Sarah Trevino, and Nathan Alexander. Josh additionally contributed additional music and arrangements to Radio Silence’s Abigail (2024).

In 2023, Josh began working for popular children’s show CoComelon as a composer and songwriter for dozens of their videos, including the original song “Bubble Bath Song” which amassed over 20 million views in a single month. Josh’s CoComelon credits also include a version of the “ABC Song” (over 151 million views), “Wheels on the Camper Van” (over 113 million views), and many more. He additionally contributed song arrangements to the second season of the Netflix original series CoComelon Lane.

Josh continues to balance his CoComelon work with his work writing additional music on feature films, and loves every minute of it!
